Helping the Horse help you!™

Troy’s work is specific to each horse. Evaluating each potential patient and then using a combination of non-invasive therapies to obtain the desired effects.  His overall goal is to fix the cause of the problem, not just the problem.  His primary goal is to increase blood flow, which aids “mother nature’s” healing process.

Troy believes that many problems for the horse stem from the human factor. The horse in its own natural environment meanders in the sun, grazes on grass, and roams rested, relaxed, and free. But you add the human factor and then we turn the horse’s world upside down. As humans, we introduce stress, confinement, & unnatural feeding programs. The horse being the passive individual that it is tends to internalize all these issues. Consequently, the stomach and intestinal system takes the toll. Reiki massage is used to release this build up.
Magnetic Pulse Therapy is a relatively new and a very effective form of physical therapy. It’s used in the treatment of soft tissue and bone damage. PMT is used to accelerate therapeutic response. PMT will reduce pain, reduce inflammation, stimulate blood flow, increase circulation and help with rehabilitation. Troy also recommends using PMT to warm up cold muscles prior to competition.
Troy’s idea is to open all the meridians in the body & to promote blood flow through the whole body. He uses an acupressure pen to release the muscles through the acupressure points. The pressure points of the body have a lower frequency than other points of the body. It emits high pitch sounds that increase as the pen becomes centered on each point. A person could be a thumb nail away from the acupressure point and still have marginal results. But with Troy’s pen, he has complete accuracy and is able to stimulate the point.
Is used for the treatment of open wounds and connective tissue. Laser therapy increases blood flood and is able to penetrate deeply within the muscle. But, what is not commonly recognized is that laser light will significantly increase the formation of new capillaries in damaged tissue. It is the formation of new capillaries that speeds up the healing process, closes wounds quickly and reduces scar tissue.
Troy has put together a series of stretches that he refers to as his common sense stretches™. Stretching complements the treatment by: enhancing energy flow, softening, relaxing & toning muscles to improve range of motion, increasing flexibility to improve performance and prevent injury and aiding in the rehabilitative and healing processes. The overall goal of the stretches is to maintain and improve your horse’s level of fitness while also improving flexibility and level of performance. It’s just basic preventative maintenance to teach the owner how to maintain his work. Troy fully explains what he does, why he does, and what you can do to continue on.
This new major diagnostic tool, can detect infection, injuries or muscle group problems before they become critical. The camera detects the problem long before a human can see it, and displays an image with colored temperature patterns in the problem area. A specific site of infection or muscle group injury can be seen before the animal or pet is really sick or disabled. This technique is used to identify inflamed areas such as the joints, tendons, ligaments and back. It’s very helpful to identify lameness, imbalances of the hoof, proper saddle fit, and is an effective tool in pre-purchase examinations. Thermography is completely non-invasive and non contact. It’s the only instrument that can detect soft tissue injuries.
