Horses are herbivores. If they were left to their own devices, the horse would graze and forage within nutrient dense pastures full of an array of grasses & herbs. But we have removed them from their natural environment and have added un-do hardships & stress to their existence – rigorous training, stalling, hauling, & depleted pastures. These unnatural conditions, that we has humans have forced upon the horse, have created problems that did not exist 20 years ago. It’s our goal at Brandenburg Equine Therapy to create an alternative back-to-basics approach for the care of our equine friend.
So that we at Brandenburg Equine Therapy could offer you a more natural way to your horse’s health, we have paired with Equine Science – a company dedicated to the blending of Quality pure herbs for your equine and companion pets. Within Brandenburg’s Herb Store you will see all the blends that Equine Science has formulated to date. However, we are also offering custom Blending for your particular needs. If you see a formula that you would like to tweak to meet the specific needs of your equine, just contact us so that we may do so.
On a final note, this holistic approach does not replace conventional veterinary medicine and practices. One cannot deny the benefits of traditional medicine, particularly in life threatening conditions. But now, more than ever, there is a need to look back to the benefits that herbs can have on animals in our care. We need to correct the imbalance that man has introduced to the horses life.
