Video | Stand by Me by Playing for Change

I know that this is completely off topic.   Most of our blog covers horse related events and topics. But I really felt the need to share this. Lately, it seems that so many are angry and uncaring.  Life has been very tuff for most of us in the last couple years – family members passed, friends ill, lost jobs, Natural disasters, and the  list can go on.   And those perpetual hard times take their toll on us and give us tunnel vision along with moments of feeling lost.

As most of you know we live in St Louis and have been a personal witness to the Ferguson Riots. I am not going to get into the particulars about that but it does bring up a bigger issue. It is really time for us to take a moment and see beyond ourselves  and remove the permanent scowls from our faces. Take a moment to  smile at a stranger, hold up the door for someone else, purchase a hot dog a gas station for someone having hard times, etc. You just never know how such a simple gesture can change another’s life or day. Kindness — No matter who you are, no matter where you are in your life, someday you are going to need someone to stand by you…

Playing For Change is a movement created to inspire and connect the world through music. Join the movement here: http://www.playingforchange.com/membe….

From the award-winning documentary, “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music”, comes “Stand By Me”, the first of many Songs Around The World produced by Playing For Change. This Ben E. King classic features musicians around the world recorded by the Playing For Change team during their travels. This song continues to remind us that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people.

We are honored to announce the release of PFC3: Songs Around The World – available everywhere now! This CD/DVD set highlights the passion and talent of 185 musicians from 31 different countries.
